Terms of Service
Using ZenFi means you agree to this
By signing up or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.
What ZenFi is
ZenFi is a personal finance app. You can track spending, set budgets, and see where your money actually goes. It's a live product. We ship updates regularly and fix things when they break.
Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself. Accounts are for one person; don't share access. If someone gets into your account because your password was compromised somewhere else, that's not something we can fix on our end.
What you can't do
Don't scrape the platform, reverse engineer the app, or upload data you don't have rights to. Using ZenFi for anything illegal is also off the table. Same goes for intentional stress testing or poking around for vulnerabilities without talking to us first.
ZenFi is not a financial advisor
Worth saying clearly: ZenFi is not a licensed financial advisor and doesn't give financial advice. The breakdowns and budget insights come from your transaction data. They're tools for thinking, not professional recommendations.
If you're making a big financial decision, like taking out a loan or changing your investment strategy, talk to a licensed advisor. ZenFi can show you the picture. What you do with it is up to you.
Who owns what
ZenFi owns the platform, the code, the product. You own your data. We don't claim any rights to your financial information, and when you delete your account, your data goes with it (see the Privacy Policy for timing).
While it's with us, the sensitive parts of that data, like transaction amounts and balances, are stored encrypted, each account with its own key. The security section of the Privacy Policy explains how that works and where its limits are.
No warranty
The service is provided as-is. We work hard to keep things reliable, but we can't guarantee the service is always accurate, available, or complete. Things can break. When they do, we fix them.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, ZenFi's total liability is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before any claim. We're not on the hook for lost profits, indirect losses, or financial decisions you made using ZenFi's data.
Accounts we close
We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can delete your own account from the settings page any time. Either way, your data follows the process described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria.
When these terms change
We'll email you before significant changes take effect. Minor updates, like wording tweaks or clarifications, won't get a separate notice. Continuing to use ZenFi after new terms go live means you've accepted them.
