Automatically. Every transaction from your bank alerts or imported statements is given a clear name and placed in a category as soon as it arrives. There's nothing to set up.

What if a transaction lands in the wrong category?

Change it once. ZenFi remembers your choice for that merchant and applies it to future transactions from the same place.

Can I create my own categories?

Yes. Custom categories are part of ZenFi Pro.

Why do my bank descriptions look different in ZenFi?

Banks label payments with codes and reference numbers. ZenFi identifies the merchant behind each one and shows a clear name you recognise instead.

Are transfers between my own accounts categorised as spending?
